On Saturday 9 August, Lady’s Wood shooting school played host to Hull Cartridge Company and Longthorne Guns and put on a spectacular show of simulated grouse, pheasant and partridge in the glorious Gloucestershire sunshine.

Guests enjoyed a number of stands simulating the various game bird species and were able to try, not only Longthorne’s exquisite game guns, but also Hull Cartridge’s ‘Drop Dead Gauges’ range of game cartridges.

At this unique event the guests enjoyed the various simulated game and have-a-go stands, before enjoying a frantic 75-bird flush from the newly installed ‘flush tower’ and then all shot for a high gun prize of 1,000 game cartridges kindly sponsored by Hull Cartridge Company. The competition entailed the infamous sequence sent from the very top of Lady’s Wood’s fantastic 120ft high tower.

The High Tower Competition resulted in a draw between Ivan Reid and Will Edwards who shared the top prize and each went away happy with 500 of the finest ammunition from Hull Cartridge.
