The British Olympic Association (BOA) has announced the six shooters that will represent Team GB at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

The British Olympic Association (BOA) has announced the six shooters that will represent Team GB at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Making their Olympic debuts at Rio will be shotgun shooters Amber Hill and Tim Kneale, alongside Steve Scott and Elena Allen, both participating in their second Olympics, and Ed Ling, for whom Rio will be his third Olympic appearance. The sixth member of the team is 
Jen McIntosh, who will compete in the Women’s 50m Three Positions.

The team poses a formidable presence with a host of achievements. Steve Scott is a double Commonwealth gold medallist and won Gold at the recent ISSF World Cup; Tim Kneale holds the current world record in the Men’s Double Trap and took Bronze at the Commonwealth Games; Ling is world silver medallist and two-time Olympian; Amber Hill is the youngest ever Skeet World Cup gold medallist and recently won Gold alongside Scott at the ISSF World Cup; Jen McIntosh has taken two Golds, a Silver and two Bronzes at Commonwealth Games’ competitions; and Elena Allen is a Commonwealth Games silver medallist and two-time Olympian.
