Find out what’s on at the Northern Shooting to entertain and delight shooters of all ages, abilities and disciplines, and buy your tickets early to save money!
In the two short years that the Northern Shooting Show has been running, it has gained a similar status and is favourably compared to other shows that have been around for years. It returns on 12 and 13 May to the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate for the third time, and is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the shooting world.
Manufacturers, distributors and retailers will be exhibiting in the stunning Yorkshire stone, state-of-the art exhibition halls, while outside, the atmosphere and feel of the show is more akin to a game fair.
Expect a huge 500m clay line packed with competitions, manufacturers’ have-a-go areas, CPSA clay shooting instruction, BASC game shooting coaching and MLAGB demonstrations. There will also be a ‘pay and play’ practical shotgun steel target set up with a prize for fastest shot over the weekend.
At over 550m long, this year’s clayline will be one of the longest in Europe. Eley Hawk, sponsors of the clayline, have generously put up 15,000 cartridges to be used on the clayline and to be used for competitions prior to the show and on the show days. Eley Hawk will be hosting the line and offering visitors a great hands on opportunity to try and find out more about the full range of cartridges they manufacture, with Eley Hawk cartrdiges available to purchase on the day.
The manufacturers now confirmed as offering demonstrations on the clayline are: Bennelli, Beretta, Bettinsoli, Blaser, Breda, Browning, Fausti, Longthorne, Marocchi, Miroku, Remington, Perrazi and Winchester. The Norhtern Shooting Show is the ideal place to buy a new gun, as you can try an enormous selection before deciding on the right one for you!
The huge Gundog Field has competitions, demonstrations and clinics, and this year includes a seminar area where you can learn more about looking after and training your dog.
Historic guns and military vehicles will be on display for those who love their vintage firearms, and there will be craftspeople showing the skill it takes to make the finest guns and shooting-related products.
The show team are also hugely proud that they have led the way in having police firearm licensing departments in attendance with some offering grant interviews, variations and renewals on the day. There are no less than seven forces attending this year!
The different areas of the Northern Shooting Show allow variable levels of pricing for exhibitors, which means the show not only attracts large manufacturers but also small specialist retailers, which makes for a more varied and interesting experience for show goers.
The airgun ranges always prove popular with adults and children alike, and there’s also a huge airsoft area with everything for the airsoft shooter all in one place, including competitions and unique experiences.
Whatever your interest, you will find it in this stunning country setting located near the A1 and M62.
